In 1979, we became a founder member of BETA, the British Equestrian Trade Association. Today, BETA have over 700 members and represent the voice of the UK equestrian trade from overseas trade fairs to the UK Parliament.
BETA are responsible for creating the only recognised standard for body protectors and work tirelessly to ensure that its members are represented in such diverse areas as lobbying for changes to the law to undertaking regular market research about equestrian consumers in the UK. BETA also operate the BETA Trade Fair, one of the most prestigious equestrian trade events in the world together with the BETA awards, the industry’s ‘Oscar night’ and are also a presenting sponsor of the Gatcombe Horse Trials.
The Catalogue Exchange
Established in 2004, The Catalogue Exchange is a not-for-profit organisation aimed at supporting and developing businesses in all areas of the catalogue and online retail community. It gives this industry a voice, particularly in issues of postage pricing and data security.
CatEx counts among its membership illustrious companies such as Scotts & Co, Harrods Direct, Joe Browns, Next Directory and Boden. It is led by a panel of leading industry experts and is committed to furthering standards of knowledge and best practice across the catalogue industry.
