HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE PALISADE BEFORE? Yes, I have! I had been eyeing them up for quite a while before Robinsons gave me the opportunity of trying them!
HOW ARE THEY DIFFERENT TO OTHER RIDING BOOTS? They literally tick every box! Comfy, elegant, close contact, high quality and reasonably priced against other brands.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION? At the time of opening the box, I was wearing my ascent boots and just about to ride. I was hesitant to put the Palisade's on because usually a brand-new pair of boots are going to rub. However, I put them on (because they are shiny and new and how could you not!!) and it was like riding in your old faithful's.
WERE THEY EASY TO PUT ON? 100%! And they come with trees that are easy put in and take out, so your boots won’t sag at the ankle.
HOW WAS THE FIT AND COMFORT WHILST RIDING? They are super comfy, and I have loved testing them.
HOW DID YOU TEST THESE BOOTS? I’ve tested these boots to the max! Hacking, schooling, jumping, eventing and generally around the yard.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FEATURE? I actually had a fall in them at an event and hurt an already dodgy leg. I was able to take the boot off with no added pain at all. So, for me my favourite feature would be that the zip comes down far enough for your ankle just to slide out nicely. Strange one I know but as horse riders we need these kinds of practicalities.
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THEM? Of course! I love a boot that has an elegant and classy look and these tick that box for sure!
DID THEY MEET EVERYTHING YOU LOOK FOR IN A RIDING BOOT? They did yes.
WHEN ARE YOU MOST LIKELY TO WEAR THEM? As I also have the accent boots which I use at home because I am a well-known ‘boot trasher’!! So, these will primarily be used for competitions and clinics.
